日本全国を歩いているTeppeiさんとWataruさんが今朝、亀清旅館からお出になりました。一年半の旅の中で半年がたちましたので｢お疲れ｣で亀清で５泊しました。その代わりに、仕事の手伝いしてくれました。感謝で、お二人に色々と初体験をさせました：
＊クッキー作り、そして町おこしの為に金曜日の夕市に販売する事。
＊露天風呂作りの為に川に行って、石を拾って、お風呂に張ること。
＊流木も拾って、枕木として取り付けたこと。チェインソーも初体験。
＊お風呂の周りの庭の為に、土を沢山運んだ。ショベルカーとUNICクレーン車を初体験。
＊千曲市の観光も：姨捨駅からの夜景、りんご狩り、等。
＊この青い目の若旦那による、アメリカ風の朝食：oatmealやhobo toastなど。最後は、夕べに広島風のお好み焼き作り。
お二人、来てくれて有難うございました！そして、仕事を頑張って、感謝しております！これからの旅はGood luck!
Zenkoji Plain
戸倉上山田温泉の近くにこんなに綺麗な夜景があります。姨捨駅から善光寺平を一目で見れる。良かったら、喜んで井ガイドいたします。
About 10 minutes by car from our onsen is Obasute Station, where you can see this beautiful night view. I enjoy taking guests there in the evening.

この間、とっても楽しいお客様が来てくれました。オーストラリアからのマイクさんとスザーンさん。夜は私のお神楽の獅子笛練習に突然誘ったら、話に乗ってくれて一緒に行きました。そうすると、お神楽の皆さんがこの明るい二人と盛り上がって、最高な国際交流になりました。
We recently had the pleasure of hosting these two adventuresome Aussies. Out of the blue, I invited Mike and Susanne to go with me to my lion dance flute practice. They jumped at the opportunity and had a blast with the Okagura gang. The gang had a blast with them, too!

亀清旅館の今年の大きいプロジェクトがこの露天風呂を作る事です。一応、私の手作業です。写真のように、お風呂実態がほぼ完成です。枕木も取り付けたし、周りの石が形になった。庭の為の土も大分入れたので後は植木の時期を待つだけです。と言う事は１０月末完成予定です。お楽しみにして下さい。
Our big project here at Kamesei Ryokan this year is making an outdoor bath. As you can see from the picture, I have the 'pillow log' in place as well as most of the surrounding rocks. We moved a bunch of dirt, and are eagerly awaiting the time to plant the trees. That should put completion at the end of October.

陽光は良い色に 'Yoko' variety
戸倉上山田温泉の周辺のりんご農園に顔を出してきました。写真の様にりんごの色が段々と綺麗になってきています。りんご狩りは１０月から無事に始まるようです。詳しくは：

Today I stopped in at one of the local apple orchards. As per the picture, they are turning color right on schedule. Apple u-pick will be available starting in October.

てっぺいさんとわたるさんが日本全国を歩いています。詳しくはタイトルをクリック。今週は亀清旅館に来ています。客室より変わったところで寝たいと言ってはりました。せっかくですから、露天風呂の工事現場でテントを張ってあげました。
Teppei and Wataru are walking from one end of Japan to the other. Click on the title for their website. This week they are staying with us here at Kamesei Ryokan. They wanted to sleep in the parking lot or somewhere funky, so I set up a tent in the outdoor bath construction zone and let them sleep out there!

毎年の９月２３日に上山田温泉の地元の波閉科神社の秋祭りが行います。写真はお昼の子供相撲です。去年は私も相撲をやらせていただきました。今年はお神楽で獅子笛をやっていました。思い切りローカルの祭ですが、それはその良さがあります。
Every year on September 23rd, our local Habeshina Shrine holds its Fall Festival. Pictured is the afternoon kids sumo tournament. Last year I got to do sumo, too! But this year, I was with the O-Kagura shishi dance group playing the flute. The festival is about as local as you can get, but that has an inherit goodness to it.

露天風呂作りは又一歩進みました。アプローチのデッキは形になりました。明日は綺麗に磨いて、ステインをかける予定です。完成が段々と近づいています。

黒姫と妙高
2週間ぶりに黒姫高原に行ってきました。前回は家族連れのコスモス園、今日は商工会関係の講演。前回は曇り、今日はさすがに秋の空で眺めがうんと綺麗でした。黒姫と妙高がどれだけでかいか。。。我々人間がどれだけ小さいか。又長野の大自然が好きになった。
The Nagano Chamber of Commerce held a seminar today at the Kurohime Highlands Dowakan (Fairy Tale Hall). The Autumn sky was a clear blue, highlighting Kurohime and Myoukou's stunning beauty. Once again I was reminded of how beautiful Nagano is.
