Snow Monkey Schedule for Day Trips from Kamesei Ryokan, Winter 2012-13

地獄谷野猿公苑の温泉に入る「スノーモンキー」が世界的に有名。この冬は雪が既に降ってきて、名前通り雪猿となってきました。

亀清旅館に日帰りでスノーモンキーを見に行く方が大勢にいらっしゃいます。電車の方の為に戸倉駅から長野駅で乗り換えの電車・バスの時刻表を分かり易く作っております。２０１２・１３年の冬季の分が出来上がりましたのでアップ致します。

冬の間は渋温泉の上の駐車場との道が基本的に通行禁止となっていて、皆さんが上林まで行って、そこから３０分の歩きとなります。

温泉に入っているお猿の顔の表情が幸せそうで、可愛いです。ぜひ、見に行ってください。

The Snow Monkeys of Jigokudani are known the world over for how cute they look soaking in their onsen hot spring bath. A lot of our guests that stay here at Kamesei Ryokan make day trips to go see the monkeys.

For people using public transportation, the various train and bus schedules get pretty complicated, so I always make a chart that matches up the trains from Togura Station, changing at Nagano Station to the trains and/or busses to Kanbayashi. From there, it is a 30 minute walk through a picturesque coniferous forest.

I've updated the transit schedule for this winter, and invite everyone to come stay here at Kamesei Ryokan and take a daytrip to see the world-famous snow monkeys.

この冬は渋温泉の旅館組合がまたスノーモンキーホリデー観にバスをやっています。週末と休日で湯田中駅発、渋温泉経由で地獄谷の駐車場までの特別シャトルです。そうすると、歩く時間が半分の約１５分となります。
This year the Shibu Onsen ryokan association will also run a special shuttle to the otherwise inaccessible Jigokudani Parking Lot, making for a shorter, 15-minute walk to the monkey park. The shuttle originates at Yudanaka Station with a stop at Shibu Onsen, 6 runs a day, weekends and holidays through March 24th, 2013.

Kick the bath towel, and conserve a conifer with Nagano's Eco Coin Program

亀清旅館は長野県観光課の「エコ泊］制度に登録しています。ロビーの薪ストーブ、そのストーブの焚き付けの為に割りばしの再利用、湯たんぽの提供などなど、亀清旅館はなるべく環境に優しい宿を目指しています。

今度は観光課エコ泊で新しい企画が生まれた:　Ｅｃｏコイン。

お客様のご協力を得て、アメニティーを使わない事によって私達旅館やホテルは長野県の森林を守る為に寄付するとの制度。

勿論、亀清旅館が参加。お客様が歯ブラシセット及びバスタオルを使わないと、部屋に置いてある「Ｅｃｏコイン」をフロントに置いてある回収箱に入れれば、亀清旅館はコインの枚数の分で支援する。

今度、皆様が亀清旅館にお泊りになる時に、Ｅｃｏコインの企画に是非、ご参加して下さい。

Kamesei Ryokan is already a participant in Nagano Prefecture's Eco-Stay program. With our wood burning stove in the lobby, re-use of disposable chopsticks for said stove, providing 'yutampo' hot water bottles, etc., Kamesei is trying our hardest to have a low impact on the environment.

The Prefecture recently introduced a new Eco-Stay program: Eco Coin. Guests cooperate for the environment by not using certain ammenities, and the hotel and/or inn makes a contribution to Nagano Forestry Conservation.

Here at Kamesei, our guests that don't use the disposable tooth brush set and the bath towel take a wooden Eco Coin from the guestroom and deposit it in the box at the Front. Then at the end of the fiscal year, we make a donation to the forestry fund based on the number of coins.

So next time you stay at Kamesei, please consider cooerating with the Eco Coin program.
