putting a personal touch to the Culture Hall flags
上山田文化会館は今年、30歳になります。今日はこの文化会館にお世話になっている数団体が大掃除しました。私が上山田神楽保存会のメンバーと一緒に手伝いました。うちの子供たちも引っ張っていきました。そしたら、掃除もあったようですが、旗作りで盛り上がっていました。掌にペンキを塗って、旗に押し付けると言う楽しい作業になりました。
5月8日まで30周年の誕生日際と言う事で文化会館のロビーで今まで開催されたコンサートや演劇のポースターなどが展示してあります。そして5月5日に無料コンサートも予定してあるそうです。私はその日に「牛に引かれて善光寺」のイベントの参加で出かけちゃうけど、興味のある方は観光会館に詳しくをお問合せください。Tel(026)275-0500.
This year, our town's Cultural Hall will celebrate its 30th birthday. Today, all the various groups that use the hall volunteered to do a major spring cleaning. After our guests checked out, I took our kids to participate along with the other member of the Kamiyamada Okagura lion dance group. By the time we got there, the hard work was over and everyone was having fun decorating some flags with handprints. Of course, our kids enjoyed that!
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the Kamiyamada Culture Hall is holding a display of posters and announcements of concerts and plays of the last 30 years in its lobby. And on May 5th at 1:30pm there will be a free concert.
