お神楽vs。 Okagura vs. Salsa

Kamiyamada Lion Dance

For last night's Okagura lion dance practice, I invited our guest from Cuba, Ailing-san. At the end of the practice, she tried out the shi-shi dance. Her footwork had a bit of a salsa flair to it -- the other Okagura members and I loved it! Okagura & Salsa dancing -- International Relations don't get any better than this!
The Kamiyamada Okagura Preservation Group holds it practices just about every Thursday at 8pm. The location is in a Community Center about 5 minutes from Kamesei by car. As we keep the shi-shi on display here at Kamesei's lobby in between practices, I always have to take the lion whenever we have a practice. Then there is a casual meeting (with beer!), followed by a couple practice dances. If any of our guests are interested in going, you're welcome to go with me.
