My hometown of Seattle basically became a major city thanks to the airplane manufacturer Boeing. Today, Boeing's main assembly plant is the largest building by volume in the world (13,385,372m3). On this trip home, I went for a tour of the factory. Several airplanes were parked there, of which the ANA and JAL ones really stood out. Boeing owes a lot the Japanese carriers, as, by extension, does all of Seattle.
