19日にハロウィンin戸倉上山田温泉2014が行われました。子供達220人ぐらいが集まって、大騒ぎでした。
仮装コンテストに地元のゆるきゃら杏姫、ねず子、ヤシロウが来てくれて、沢山のプライズが配れました。
その後、温泉街のお店・宿60軒がお菓子を提供してくれて、子供達が5コースに分けてトリックｏｒトリートで回りました。
会場に戻ったら、ハロウィンゲームをやったり、かぼちゃランタン作りしたり、出店でケバブを食べたり、
そして、
私とうちの子供達が担当したお化け屋敷にも入ってくれた。

今年は特別でイベント直前に千曲川の向こう側の戸倉体育館に仮装したままの参加者20人ぐらいがプロバスケの信州ブレイブウォリアーズの試合前でハロウィンパレードをやりました。プロの選手と会えて、貴重な体験でした。

これで17年目のイベントでした。主催者の千曲国際交流協会がＮＰＯ法人になりましたので、来年は更に大々的に出来そう！

Togura Kamiyamada Onsen's Halloween Party took place on the 19th. Around 220 kids dressed up in scary costumes and enjoyed the costume judging contest, trick-or-treating from the 60 businesses and inns that provided candy, halloween games and -- the haunted house! My kids and I with some help from friends ran the haunted house this year.

Special this year was around 20 of the participants first crossed the river and did a Halloween Parade at the Togura Gymnasium ahead of the Shinshu Brave Warriors pro basketball game. We even got to do high-fives with some of the players.

上山田温泉の一年の中の一番大きいイベント、温泉夏祭り、は2014年度が7月19・20日に行われます。勇獅子、冠着太鼓、山の花火、民踊ながし、芸者さんの踊り、そして・・・お神輿！　これ以上迫力の事がないぐらいな大イベント。

私はまた若連で参加します。今年は彦神輿の責任者。御幣を持って、お神輿を先頭する役割。

毎週日曜日は若連の皆が集まって、それぞれの神輿や獅子の準備をしてきました。12日に今年の法被を扱ってきた。こんな綺麗な法被はこれから二日間の汗でどうなるか、想像するだけで怖い！

Kamiyamada Onsen's Summer Festival for 2014 will take place on July 19th and 20th. It's our town's biggest event. With the huge Isami Shishi lion, taiko drums, fireworks show, Minyo traditional dance, geisha performances, and ... the omikoshi portable shrines, you'll never see such an intense and exciting event.

This year I will be in charge of the Hiko Omikoshi, leading throughout the town.

Come and enjoy the excitement, and cheer us on!

上山田温泉夏祭り2014年 Kamiyamada Onsen Summer Festival

明日(4月29日)は地元の「雨宮の御神事」が開催されます。三年に一度行われる。雨宮神社で13:00から獅子舞から始まり、17:00ごろは「橋がかり」というクライマックス。国指定重要無形民俗文化財で、高さ7mの橋から4人の獅子がぶら下げて、頭から水面を打ち付けて、踊る。このチャンスを流したら、つぎは三年後。
亀清旅館は29日に空きはございますので、おいでやす。

Amenomiya (15 minutes by car from Togura-Kamiyamada Onsen) will hold their once-every-three-years Gojinji festival on April 29th. The unique event features 4 shishi lions dangled upside down from a bridge 7 meters above the river as the lions dance brushing the surface of the water with their heads. It is a designated National Intangent Folklife Cultural event.

戸倉上山田温泉の側の更級地区の上水さん先頭に立って様々の町興し運動をなされています。その上水さんは我が亀清旅館に顔を出してくれた。その目的は：

「吉野乃月」純米大吟醸の日本酒

上水さんは農家仲間と「田毎の月」で有名な姨捨棚田で酒米を育っていて、地元の酒蔵「姨捨正宗」に頼んで、最高の日本酒を作っている。

更科を日本酒で情報発信♪

取り敢えず、亀清旅館も準会員になって、限られた本数の中で少し扱う事にしました。5月に出来上がる様で、お楽しみに。

千曲市の「みちさき案内ナビ」アプリが出来ました。スマートホンからお店、公用施設、イベント、観光スポットなどを調べて、道の案内が出来る。

Chikuma City now has an app for smartphones. Called 'Michisaki Annai Navi', the app lists stores and businesses as well as civic facilities, events, places of interest and more. Next year, an English version is expected to be released as well.

戸倉上山田温泉の上にある善光寺別院は一番近い初詣スポットです。このお正月で温泉に来れば、寄ってみてはいかがですか?

For our onsen town Togura-Kamiyamada, the closest spot for Hatsumode (the first visit of a temple or shrine for the year) is the Zenkoji Branch Temple on the hill above our town.

戸倉上山田温泉から7㎞（車で13分）、国道18号沿いで坂城ＩＣへ行く途中に「あいさい」と言う直販売店があります。公式的な道の駅ではないですが、地元の野菜（伝説の辛味ねずみ大根も!）や果実、はちみつ、ジャム、チョコ工場ロビニアの方品、等などが販売されています。奥に名物のおしぼりうどんを提供している食堂もある。

亀清旅館のお客さんで一番聞かれるのは「道の駅」です。これからは「あいさい」を紹介する事に決定!

千曲市も早く道の駅を作って欲しいな。

From our onsen town Togura-Kamiyamada, 7km (13 minutes by car) to the south along Route 18 on the way to the Sakaki IC, is Sakaki Town's "Aisai" roadside stand. While not an official "Michi no Eki" (Road Station), they do sell local vegetables (including the legendary spicy radish "Nezumi Daikon") and fruits, goods from the nearby chocolate factory, honey, jam, etc., etc. In the back, there is a cafeteria where they serve the local specialty "Oshibori Udon".

The most often asked question we get from our guests here at Kamesei Ryokan is where to find a Road Station. From now on, we are going to introduce "Aisai".

I hope our Chikuma City builds a Road Station soon!
