Fresh baked bread and homemade jam

The Loft

During our trip home, we went for a drive with my folks around the Olympic Peninsula. The first night, we stayed in Forks, WA. With our relatively large group, we were having trouble finding a motel, and were introduced to The Loft. This very plain and simple lodging is a ways out of town; first impression was a bit dodgy. But we left with great memories.

The secret?

Fresh baked bread and homemade jam for breakfast,
and a tour to their fish pond to feed the fish in the morning.

Sorta reminded me of a certain onsen ryokan's homemade cookies and night view tour.

I was thrilled to receive The Loft's friendly omotenashi service.
