New Rental Cycles Sign

この頃は晴れている日が続いていて、自転車を乗りたくなる様な天気だ。亀清旅館を含めて、戸倉上山田温泉の宿は全部で５か所で、「みどりの自転車」のレンタサイクルが置いてあります。

戸倉上山田の周辺は自転車巡りに向いています：
千曲サイクリングロードが千曲川沿いを走るので川辺や周辺の山景色が楽しめる。
２０～３０分ぐらい走れば、南は力石、北は稲荷山という土壁の蔵がたくさん残っている地域があって、自転車のペースで回りながら、その昔の時代の風情がゆっくり見れる。
とにかく、全部が平らですから、自転車は気持ちよく走れます。

その自転車則を応援する為に、亀清に置いてあるレンタサイクルの為に看板を作りました。お泊りになる方、特に滞在なされる方に戸倉上山田での自転車乗りの楽しみを知ってほしいです。

千曲サイクリングクラブが市長と交渉し、駅で捨てられた自転車を頂いて、整理して、そして女将の会から譲ってもらった自転車と合わせて、私たちが全部を緑のペンキで塗装しました。温泉の旅館組合が持ち主になってくれて、保険もかけてくれました。

Lately we've been having such great sunny weather -- perfect for bicycling. And here at Kamesei along with 4 other inns in Togura Kamiyamada Onsen, we offer rental bicycles for our guests.

Togura Kamiyamada is perfectly suited for bike riding:
The Chikuma Cycling Road follows the river in both directions from town, allowing riders to enjoy the riverside scenery as well as views of the green hills and mountains all around.
20-30 minutes both to the south (Chikaraishi) and north (Inariyama) are neighborhoods with numerous earthen-walled storehouses, remnants from the time when they were used for raising silkworms.
The great thing about all of this (for bike riders) is: it's all flat! The Chikuma River valley is perfect for riding around.

Thanks to the Chikuma Cycling Club's efforts of getting the mayor to give us some of the thrown-away bikes from the local stations, and the sponsorship of the ryokan association, we can offer these bicycles for use for our guests. Now all we need is for you to come and ride!
