それでも、今回の里帰りでこのスーパーの前を通ったら驚きました。「パン」とか「シーフード」、「花」などは当然だけど、「お寿司」も？！和食の影響は広がったな！
Japanese cuisine is of course popular overseas. According to a report by JNTO, 'Japanese Food' lists highly for practically all countries as a reason for coming to Japan.
Even knowing that, I was surprised to drive by one supermarket on this latest trip to Seattle and seeing 'Sushi' right up there with 'Bakery', 'Seafood' and 'Flowers'. Japanese food has become this prevalent in America.
