今日のイースターエッグフェスティバルin戸倉上山田温泉は天気に恵まれて、素晴らしいスタッフに恵まれて、約80人の子供たちの笑顔が光りました。
主催の千曲国際交流会の皆さん、
ボランティアでオムレツを作った戸倉上山田温泉調理師青年部、
乗馬を提供してくれた俊樹さん、
フェイスペインティングを手伝ったシアトルから来た私の母、
温泉入浴を提供してくれた戸倉上山田温泉旅館組合、
そして参加なされた皆様、
感謝、感謝！
Thanks to great weather and great effort from all the staff, the Easter Egg Festival in Togura Kamiyamada Onsen was a huge success, with approx. 80 kids and their families enjoying the event.

カタクリの花です。亀清の貸し切り露天「しなの風呂」の庭で咲いています。桜や杏のはなも良いですが、こういう地味な春も好きです。
ちなみに、この戸倉上山田温泉の佐良志奈神社でカタクリ祭りが行われた。そんなお祝いすべきな花は、お風呂に入りながら楽しめるのはおそらく我が亀清旅館だけでしょう。
Dog Tooth Violet, currently in bloom in the garden of Kamesei Ryokan’s outdoor family bath, ‘Shinano-buro’. Cherry blossoms are nice, but I also love this more demure sign of spring.
One of the local shrines here in our onsen town ‘Togura Kamiyamada’ held a Katakuri Festival today in honor of a gathering of these violets growing in the wild...
