This is Obasute, the land of the legend of old ladies ('Oba') getting thrown away ('Suteru'), but also the land of the famous moon-reflecting rice fields.
Once a year, in conjunction with the harvest moon, our town puts on a moon viewing party.
2012 is the 29th annual Obasute Moon Viewing Festival, and it will take place from 28-Sept to 01-Oct, with the full moon happening on 30-Sept.
